Currently residing in the Namkum area of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, Minz, although yet to represent the state in the Ranji Trophy, has been part of Jharkhand’s U19 and U25 teams. His father, retired army personnel, now works as a guard at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi, and Minz lives with his two sisters.

Apart from the Mumbai Indians, Minz tried out for several other franchises like the Lucknow Supergiants, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders. Despite not being picked in the IPL 2023 auction, Minz received a significant offer this time around.

He may make his IPL debut in the upcoming season. The competition for a spot in the playing XI will likely involve Minz and the experienced Indian keeper Wriddhiman Saha.

Leading up to the bidding in Dubai, Minz caught attention during the mock auction, with former India cricketer Robin Uthappa likening him to the ‘left-handed Kieron Pollard.’
