Pakistan’s young sensation Haider Ali is one of the most exciting talents in world cricket. He bats with a lot of flamboyance and many cricket pundits believe that the young lad has in him what is needed to excel at the highest level of the game.

Haider, who featured in Pakistan’s Under 19 World Cup campaign earlier this year, turned out for Peshawar Zalmi in the T20 league. He made 239 runs in nine matches at an impressive strike-rate of 158.25, also clearing the ropes 14 times.

Haider Ali has a good technique and he comes across as a very intelligent and aware cricketer who understands his own game very well, even at such a young age. Former Pakistani cricketer and well-known commentator Ramiz Raza that the young lad has immense talent and has made a name for himself in his first season of PSL.

However, Ramiz Raja also offered an honest piece of advice for Haider Ali. Ramiz told him to follow the approach of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli.

‘‘Haider needs to follow the approach of Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. These two don’t improvise much as they have so much talent and rely mainly on conventional shots. Haider has a similar talent as Babar and Kohli, but just needs to work on his game awareness and play longer innings,’’ Ramiz Raja had said in a video posted on his Youtube channel.

However, young Haider Ali wants to follow Rohit Sharma. In a video chat with Pakistan cricket, Haider said that Rohit Sharma is his idol and he wishes to have a strike rate like him.
