The sensational Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has adjourned the man of the match after he smashed an unbeaten 92 against Australia during the third and the last ODI match of the just-concluded three-match ODI series.

Later after the powerful performance in the game, Hardik Pandya talked about a lot of things with the former Australian spinner Shane Warner after the win in Canberra. He also praised T Natarajan, who made his ODI debut on the same match, and called his journey ‘inspirational’.

Shane Warne also asked him if he is taking over the mantle of a rockstar of the team from Ravindra Jadeja. Responding to which, the Indian all-rounder said that he is fine if Jadeja keeps that role as he would like to be called with another name. He said:

“I am fine if Jadeja keeps that role (rockstar of the team). I am a father now, so I would like to rather be called a dad now”.

He added:

“Natarajan is quite a story, quite an inspiration with the background he’s come from,”

Talking about his performances, Hardik Pandya along with Ravindra Jadeja turned out to be a savior for team India on the third and the last day of the three-match ODI series against Australia. It happened when the Men in Blue were struggling at 152/5 at one stage, this is when Ravindra Jadeja (66 off 50) and Pandya (92 off 76) took the matters into their own hands as the duo brought up 300 runs for India, with the last 100 runs coming from only 51 deliveries.

Throughout the series, Hardik Pandya played all the three-match as a specialist batsman and gave brilliant performances, scoring – 90 in 1st ODI, 28 in 2nd ODI, and 98 in 3rd ODI.
