The Gujarat Titans camp is all in a jolly mood and even the tension of a highly-intense IPL season is not getting to them. While they are bossing the points table – GT became the first team to touch 16 points this season with their win over LSG – they are also engaging each others’ company.
This was shown when Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami were left in splits after Wriddhiman Saha came to the field on Sunday wearing his trousers in reverse.
Saha wore his pajamas wrongly and came onto the field wearing his pads and gloves when GT were to bowl to LSG. Hardik Pandya, the GT skipper, was already in the middle and burst into laughter after seeing Saha wearing his pajama the other way around. Saha donned a sheepish, childish embarrassing look and even Mohammed Shami and Quinton de Kock had a good chuckle seeing it.

It was an emotional day in the Pandya household as brothers Hardik and Krunal were leading their respective sides. Krunal has been made the new LSG skipper after KL Rahul got injured and was ruled out.
It was the younger brother and his team that emerged victorious today and by a big margin of 56 runs.
GT amassed 227/2 on the back of strong performances from its openers: Saha scored 81 off 43 balls and Shubman Gill scored 94* off 51 balls. LSG got a fine start to the chase with Mayers and de Kock putting up 88 runs in 8.2 overs, but once that stand was broken, LSG lost their way in this big chase.
Just like last season, the Gujarat Titans became the first team to reach 16 points and with a playoff spot all but confirmed now, they will be eyeing a top 2 finish with 3 more games in hand.
