Hardik Pandya played the best innings of his career so far, in the first innings of the ongoing Test match between Sri Lanka and India.
Pandya, who is being hailed as the next big thing in Indian cricket by fans and pundits across the world, batted with a lot of maturity and made Lanka’s bowling attack look ordinary.
Initially, when Pandya came out to bat, India were in a strong position and he took his time to adjust his game as per the requirements of the wicket.
Hardik Pandya smashed his maiden Test hundred off just 86 balls and helped India put a huge first innings total on the board. Pandya’s knock was praised by everyone and he was the most trending topic among cricket fans on social networking websites.
Hardik Pandya scored 108 runs in his innings and it was one of the most entertaining Test innings you would ever see. Pandya accelerated the way he is known for and smashed gigantic sixes, specially off Lanka’s spinners.
After Pandya’s innings, former Indian batsman and of the most destructive batsmen in Test cricket history, Virender Sehwag, congratulated Hardik Pandya in his trademark style on Twitter.
