Star Indian all-rounder and Gujarat Titans‘ captain Hardik Pandya impressed one and all with his leadership skills as he guided his team to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 title in their debut season in the cash-rich league.

Before the start of IPL 2022, there were a lot of questions regarding the fitness and captaincy skills of Pandya, however, he proved them wrong with his incredible performances throughout the season.

Pandya was the fourth-highest run-getter in the just-concluded season, scoring 487 runs with the bat in 15 matches. Apart from this, he also picked up eight wickets in the tournament, with his best performance with the ball coming in the final match against Rajasthan Royals, where he picked three crucial wickets and conceded only 17 runs in his four-over spell first. He also scored crucial 34 runs as well to help his side win their maiden title.

On the back of his all-around performance, Hardik Pandya received a recall from the BCCI for the upcoming 5-match T20I series between India and South Africa.

Hardik Pandya Shared A Motivational Message For His Fans

Meanwhile, ahead of the series, in the latest video shared by Gujarat Titans’ official Twitter handle, Hardik Pandya shared a motivational message for his fans. In the video, Hardik can be seen talking about his comeback to the Indian cricket team. He said:

“The old Hardik will be back. Now the fans are back, it’s time for me to make comeback. A lot of matches are going to be played and I’m looking forward to it. What I did for my franchise, I will also make sure that I can also do the same for my country,”

While there was a lot of speculation that Hardik was dropped but he made it clear that it was his decision to take a break from the game. He added:

“Lot of people don’t know that I took off; It was my decision. A lot of misconception is that I was dropped. You get dropped when you are available. Thankful to the BCCI as they allowed me to take long breaks and did not even force me to come back,”
