Cricket fans were left stunned after Sydney Thunder registered a forgettable record in the 5th match of the Big Bash League as they were bowled out for a mere total of 15 runs against Adelaide Strikers. Yes, in one of the most bizarre matches, Sydney Thunder couldn’t even survive the powerplay and was bowled out in just 5.5 overs. The batting lineup, which included the likes of international players Alex Hales and Rilee Rossouw, could breach the 10-run mark and the highest run-getter from the side was their no.10 – Brendan Doggett.

Both openers – Alex Hales and Matthew Gilkes – were dismissed on a duck and the team was five down for merely 9 runs. Turkey’s Henry Thornton registered a mesmerizing figure of 5/3 in the game, while Wes Agar picked up four wickets, conceding six runs. Sydney Thunder were bowled out in merely 5.5 overs all thanks to the stunning bowling performance of the Adelaide Strikers.

Adelaide Strikers’ Henry Thornton took a five-for for just 3 runs while Wes Agar dismissed 4 batsmen in his 2 overs. Matthew Short, who got the first wicket of the 2nd innings, also picked one batter.
