Harsha Bhogle Highlights A Big Problem For India Ahead Of Asia cup 2022 Game vs Pakistan: The Asia Cup 2022 kicked off on Saturday with Afghanistan’s thumping 8-wicket win over Sri Lanka. Now, though, on Sunday is the most anticipated game of the tournament: India vs Pakistan, incidentally in Dubai, where Babar Azam’s team thrashed Virat Kohli’s by 10 wickets last year at the T20 World Cup.
However, now the Indian team bears a different attitude having shed their inhibitions under the new management of skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid.
In Asia Cups, India have a superior 8-5 win-loss record over Pakistan, and since 2010, India have won five of the six Asia Cup contests between the two sides.
Harsha Bhogle points out India’s possible batting line-up

While India look a solid batting unit, they have a problem of plenty.
Renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle discussed India’s possible batting line-up for the game against Pakistan on Twitter on Sunday morning. Four players – Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul – walk in on themselves in the top six, but according to Bhogle, not Virat Kohli. Bhogle asserted that the out-of-form Kohli will play in the eleven today if the management has the 33-year-old in their plans for the T20 World Cup two months later.

This would mean a straight shootout between Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik for the wicket-keeper’s position. Bhogle reckoned Pant’s left-handedness – the only left-hander in the top six – could title the scales in his favour, but also opined that Dinesh Karthik is one of the best finishers going around in the world in recent months.
“India’s top 6 today will be a very good indicator of the way ahead. Rohit, SKY andHardik pick themselves. If KL Rahul is fit to go, he walks in. That leaves two out of Kohli, Hooda, Pant and DK. If Kohli is in contention for Oz, he needs to play,” Harsha Bhogle tweeted.
“Pant’s left handedness will work in his favour as will the fact that Pandya could play the DK role. But in recent months, few have finished with the inventiveness and consistency that DK has in a very difficult role. These selections come down to instinct eventually,” he added.
