The whole country woke up to the heartbreaking and saddening news of the passing away of one of the finest actors of the Bollywood industry, Irrfan Khan. Mr.Khan, who was last seen in a comedy-drama ‘Angrezi Medium’ was recently shifted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he was getting treated for a colon infection.
As per a statement released by his family, Irrfan Khan spent his final hours “surrounded by his love, his family for whom he most cared about.” One of the most talented and versatile actors of Bollywood battled a tumor for several months and had recently come back to India some months ago after being treated in London.
Recently, on Saturday morning, Irrfan Khan had lost his mother Saeeda Begum, who was 95 years of age. As there is a country-wide lockdown, Irrfan Khan couldn’t travel from Mumbai and paid his last respects to his late mother through a video call.
The news of his death has left the entire country shocked and heartbroken. Fans, celebrities, and cricket fraternity are taking to their social media and are paying heartfelt tribute to the great actor.
Popular commentator Harsha Bhogle also took to his micro-blogging site Twitter and paid his heartfelt tribute to the actor via heart touching message. In his tweet, he praised the great talent Irrfan Khan possessed. He also paid heartfelt condolences to the family of the actor. He wrote:
