Pakistan allrounder Hasan Ali has been under fire, ever since his costly mistake on-field allowed Matthew Wade to secure a win for his team Australia in the thrilling semi-final match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.
After having conceded 44 runs in the four overs he bowled, where he failed to pick any wickets, Hasan Ali disappointed his fans in the dramatic closing stages, where he dropped the catch of Australia’s Matthew Wade in the 19th over. After the dropped catch, Matthew Wade went complete bonkers as he smashed Shaheen Afridi for back-to-back three sixes and took his side to the final clash.
Ever since Pakistan’s ouster from the high-voltage tournament, Hasan Ali has been subjected to heavy trolling and criticism because of the dropped catch, as many felt that moment took the game away from men in green. The star all-rounder even received threats and abuses by Pakistan fans.
Recently, a few tweets and media reports went viral that stated even Hasan Ali’s wife received threats and abuses from the Pakistani fans.
However, Samiya Hasan Ali, wife of Hasan Ali has now cleared the air and has rubbished all such claims. On Saturday, Samiya Hasan Ali took to her Instagram story and shared a long note, where she categorically rejected tweets from an imposter Twitter account.
She also made it clear that neither she nor her husband or daughter received death threats from the Pakistani fans. She wrote:
“Saw many tweets circulating from this fake account that I, Hassan and my daughter are getting threats from people from Pakistan, which is absolutely wrong. Instead, we’ve seen tons of support”
She cleared that an imposter Twitter account was spreading all such rumors and asked people to report that account. She wrote:
“Please don’t believe any such statements and don’t follow any accounts on Twitter pretending to be me. I am not on Twitter. Please report the accounts claiming to be me,”
