Hassan Ali Fight: Twitterati Come Out In Support Of The Fast Bowler

Once a key part of Pakistan’s bowling attack in all three formats, now Hasan Ali not only is not selected in any of Pakistan’s teams, but has been plying his trade in local club tournaments to get some game time.

Some ugly scenes have emerged from one of those local games wherein Hasan Ali was taunted and mocked by a section of the local crowd after which the senior Pakistani pacer lost his cool and charged at some spectators angrily.

Ali got involved in a heated, abusive altercation with the fans who can be heard seen mocking him about the catch he’d dropped of Matthew Wade in the semi-final of the 2021 T20 World Cup against Australia in the UAE. That dropped chance proved costly for Pakistan as Wade then hit 3 sixes to Shaheen Afridi and Australia proceeded to the final, where they defeated New Zealand to clinch their maiden T20 world title.

In the videos that have gone viral on Twitter this week, some fans can be heard teasing Hasan Ali about the dropped catch when the cricketer was fielding near the boundary line, and since this was a local game the fans were sitting right near the boundary ropes.

Initially, Hasan Ali ignored these taunts and focused on the match. However, later on, the 28-year-old lost his cool and angrily charged at few people and even put a jump to get his hands on someone.

Soon, security and other ground officials pacified the pacer by catching him amid his fits and took him away from those fans who were poking fun at the international cricketer.

Fans on Twitter expressed their sympathy toward Hasan Ali and slammed those people who were taunting him.
