Here’s An Update On Mohammed Shami’s Injury

Here’s An Update On Mohammed Shami’s Injury: The Indian cricket team lost the first day-night Test match against Australia to go down by 0-1 in the ongoing four-match Test series. Both the teams will collide again on December 26 for the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, where the visitors will be without the service of their skipper Virat Kohli, as he will be flying back to Mumbai to be with his wife Anushka Sharma during the birth of their first child.

However, ahead of the second test match, team India suffered a huge blow after the Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami suffered an injury on Day 3 of the first Pink ball Test match at Adelaide Oval.

Shami was hit on his bowling arm by the Australian pacer Pat Cummins. After the match, during the post-match presentation, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli provided an update on Mohammed Shami’s injury and revealed that Shami was in a lot of pain and has been taken to the hospital for scans. He revealed:

No news on Shami, he’s going for a scan now. Was in a lot of pain, couldn’t even lift his arm. We’ll probably know in the evening what happens,”

However, as per the latest update, it was revealed that the scan reports have confirmed a fracture in Shami’s right-arm and thus has been ruled out of the rest of the series against Australia.

Meanwhile, the incident has come out as a huge blow for the pace attack of team India, who are already without the services of their veteran seamer Ishant Sharma, who is currently training at the NCA in Bengaluru to regain his full fitness. Team India is currently lagging by 0-1 in the Test series after losing the Adelaide Test.
