Tonight, Chennai Super Kings broke many hearts as the match was won by the Delhi Daredevils by 34 balls at their home ground at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Before the match started, Delhi Daredevils were invited to bat first asthe toss was won by MS Dhoni and he chose to bowl first.

The first innings started slow at first, the openers Prithvi Shaw with 17 runs and Shreyas Iyer with 19 runs, went back to pavilion after a few overs. The star player of the team, Rishabh Pant scored 38 runs off 26 balls. Vijay Shankar scored 36 off the 28 balls he faced. On the other hand, Harshal Patel too remained unbeaten till the last ball and played a sensational knock by scoring a quick 36 off the 16 balls, hitting 4 sixes and 1 fours.
Tonight, the players of Chennai Super Kings were high on confidence as they didn’t allowed any free runs to the players of Delhi Daredevils. Lungi Nagidi, the ace bowler of CSK stunned everyone with his exceptional bowling skills by taking two big wickets tonight, including Rishabh Pant.
The players of Delhi Daredevils anyhow stretched the scores to 162 runs and gave it as a target to the players of Chennai Super Kings.

The second innings were started brilliantly by Ambatti Rayudu, who scored 50 runs off 29 balls. Shane Watson on the other hand, went back to pavilion after a few overs, he scored 14 balls off the 23 balls.

The skipper of the team, MS Dhoni couldn’t contribute much to the total scores and went back to pavilion after he was caught-out by Shreyas Iyer. He scored 17 runs off the 23 balls. Suresh Raina, too couldn’t add more to the total runs and dismissed after scoring 17 runs off the 23 balls. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten at the score of 27 runs off the 18 balls he played.
The bowlers and fielders of Delhi Daredevils took away the match from Chennai Super Kings and won the match by 34 runs. Trent Boult and Amit Mishra took two wickets each.
