Cricket LoungeBy Cricket Lounge25/12/2017Updated:08/02/2023No Comments2 Mins Read

T20 cricket has taken the world by storm and has redefined cricketing entertainment. In the short lived T20 format the excitement never dies out and the fans are always on the edge of their seats and they dance and jump to every hit.

Even for the players it’s a ruthless format and the margin for error is next to negligible. The format gets even more ruthless for the bowlers as batsmen show no mercy towards them.

Dream T20 XI

What if we were to choose a dream team for T20s where we could pick any player from any team. Where’s we can choose without any restraints and restrictions. Let’s assume for once that we have the leverage of choosing our very own dream XI for the most enthralling format of international cricket.

Here’s what our Dream XI looks like
1. Openers

No team can post big totals or decimate mammoth targets unless the openers give an explosive start to the team. After a lot of deliberation this is the opening pair we chose :

Rohit Sharma and David Warner
2. Middle Order

If the openers falter the onus is then on middle order. The middle order has to right on the money and must be capable of attacking the bowlers right from the word go as the leverage of settling down would be rare.

So this what our middle order looks like

First Down: Virat Kohli (Captain)
Second Down: Babar Azam
Third Down: AB De Villiers

3. Wicket Keeper and All Rounders

Well wicket keeper had to be MS Dhoni by all means. There’s every reason why no other wicket keeper batsman will fail to add the kind of impact MS Dhoni adds to the team.

Wicket Keeper: MS Dhoni (Fourth Down)

All Rounder: Shakib Al Hasan
All Rounder: DJ Bravo

3. Bowlers

Now this was a tough pick choosing bowlers. Both Shakib and Bravo can chip in crucial overs as and when required. So the focus is now on the pace attack.

Spinner (s) : Imran Tahir
Pacers : Imad Wasim
Jasprit Bumrah
