Rohit Sharma now holds the record for most sixes in a season in international cricket. He has gone past Martin Guptill’s tally of 56 sixes in 2015-2016. This came yesterday as Rohit Sharma returned to form with a blistering ton.

Rohit Sharma also went past Kohli’s score of 87 which was the highest by an Indian batsman so far at this venue. Rohit played a fine knock of 115 runs and smashed his 17th ODI ton.

After a poor run of form in the test series, things only worsened for him in the ongoing ODI series but the 5th ODI brought him a great relief. MS Dhoni with a catch and a stumping each in the 5th game became the first Indian wicketkeeper to reach 500 List A dismissals. He’s only the 8th wicketkeeper in world cricket to do so.
