Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has won hearts once again with his kind gesture towards Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf.

Both the players had met after the India-Pakistan T20 World Cup game in October last year in Dubai. The Men In Green emerged victorious over the Virat Kohli-led outfit by 10 wickets, chasing down 152 with the help of fifties from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan after Shaheen Afridi had dented India with a match-winning three-wicket haul.

Haris Rauf, who picked the wicket of Hardik Pandya in that match, met MS Dhoni, who was with the Indian team in the role of a mentor. A few months after that encounter, the former India captain has sent a signed CSK jersey to the Pakistani paceman.

Rauf, who is currently playing his trade in the BBL duties, shared the picture of the CSK jersey on his Twitter handle which he received from the “legend and captain cool” MS Dhoni. Delighted by this gift, he thanked the CSK skipper, and also CSK team manager Russell for making this happen.

“The legend & capt cool MS Dhoni has honored me with this beautiful gift his shirt. The “7” still winning hearts through his kind & goodwill gestures,” Haris Rauf captioned the post.

MS Dhoni charged the Super Kings to their fourth IPL title last season, defeating Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders in the final. The 40-year-old has been retained by CSK for 12 crore ahead of the mega-auction.

Haris Rauf took 8 wickets in the T20 World Cup, with a best of 4/22, helping Pakistan reach the semi-finals, where they were knocked out by Australia.

While because of the political tensions between the two nations bilateral series haven’t taken place in 8 years, both the teams regularly meet each other in ICC tournaments and Asia Cups.
