Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw caught himself in a spot of bother reportedly, while he was on his way to Goa for a vacation. Following the suspension of IPL 2021, Prithvi Shaw was on his way to Goa, in his car, for a vacation when he was stopped by the cops for not having the mandatory e-pass.

Prithvi received a major setback when he was halted by the police in the Amboli district. Shaw was asked to show his e-pass and as he didn’t have it, he had to apply for it online via his phone.

Well, for the unversed, as the condition around the country continues to be grim as over 3 lakh cases are being reported every day, the Maharashtra Government has made it mandatory for everyone to obtain a pass before traveling in its efforts to contain the dangerous second wave of the pandemic.

Prithvi had applied for an E-Pass however set out for Goa before the Pass was issued. The official revealed that Prithvi only had the token issued against the application. The official also revealed that it was after the police stopped him in Amboli, he applied for the pass online afresh and got it within an hour. He was then allowed to proceed.

Meanwhile, Shaw was recently seen playing for his team Delhi Capitals in the recently-suspended IPL 2021. Shaw was seen in sublime form in the tournament as he amassed 308 runs in the 8 games he played with 3 half-centuries at a strike rate of 166.48.

However, recently Shaw received a big blow as he wasn’t named in India’s 20-man squad for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final, versus New Zealand, and the five Tests against England in the United Kingdom, from August-September.
