Here’s Why Sachin Tendulkar Not Participate In The Roads Safety World Series

India’s batting legend Sachin Tendulkar will not be taking part in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series tournament, which involves retired international cricketers. Sachin Tendulkar who leads ‘India Legends’ to glory in the inaugural season and fans were anxiously waiting to see him back in action in the 2022 edition.

However, in what has come out as a major development, Sachin Tendulkar has dissociated himself from the project as he hasn’t received full payment for the season.

According to several reports in Bangladesh media, several prominent former players, including the likes of Khaled Mahmud, Khaled Mashud, Mehrab Hossain, Rajin Saleh, Hannan Sarkar, and Nafees Iqbal, who took part in the first edition of the Road Safety World Series.

Notably, Sachin was also the brand ambassador in the first edition of the tournament. At the same time, Sunil Gavaskar was the commissioner of the event.

Here’s Why Sachin Tendulkar Not Participate In The Roads Safety World Series

A source close to developments told PTI on conditions of anonymity revealed:

“Sachin will not be a part of RSWS this season. The tournament is marked from March 1-19 in the UAE but Sachin will not be a part of this tournament in any form,”

When asked about whether Sachin has also not been paid by the organizers, the source confirmed the same. The source revealed:

“Yes, Sachin is among many cricketers who took part in the tournament, who haven’t been paid by the organisers. And one needs to get in touch with a Ravi Gaikwad, who was the premier organizer,” the source added further.
