A piece of concerning news coming out from Bihar is that Sachin Tendulkar‘s biggest fan and devotee, Sudhir Kumar, was assaulted by Bihar police in Muzaffarpur police station.

The incident took place on Thursday (January 20) when Sudhir Kumar went to meet his brother, Kishan, who was picked up from his house and locked in jail by the Muzaffarpur police.

Sudhir Kumar, who was often seen during India’s matches painted tri-colour and waving the Indian flag with ‘Tendulkar 10’ written on his chest, was out of his house when the police took his brother. When he returned, his family members informed him that the cops also didn’t tell them what was Kishan’s crime. Sudhir immediately rushed to the police station for inquiry.

Upon reaching there, Sudhir saw his brother behind bars, and when he talked to his brother, he learned that Kishan was involved in a land dispute also involving one of his friends.

For this reason, one party had filed a case. Kishan Kumar said that he did not have any information about it, but the police forcibly picked him up.

Later, Sudhir alleged that when he was talking to his brother, a policeman approached him and misbehaved with him before hurting him physically. The policeman is accused of abusing Sudhir, twice kicking and throwing the man out of the station.

Utterly disappointed by this attitude of the police officer, Sudhir returned quietly from there and went straight to DSP Ramnaresh Paswan with his complaint. The DSP has assured him of taking appropriate action.

This incident becomes even more bizarre when Sudhir revealed that it was he who actually had cut the ribbon for the inauguration of the building years ago when he was called in as a celebrity!

Sudhir expressed his concern that if the police have treated him in such a distressing manner, then how they would have been dealing with the common people.
