The Board for Control of Cricket in India(BCCI) added a new feather to their glittering cap by entering the Guinness Book of World Records for the IPL 2022 final.
The BCCI’s official social media handles announced on Sunday that they have made the new world record and enter in the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest attendance during a T20 match.
This feat was achieved during the IPL 2022 final earlier this year between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is the largest cricket stadium crowd capacity-wise in the world. Led by Hardik Pandya, the Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets to clinch their maiden IPL title in their debut season.
“A proud moment for everyone as India creates the Guinness World Record. This one is for all our fans for their unmatched passion and unwavering support. Congratulations to @GCAMotera and @IPL,” the BCCI tweeted.
