ICC ODI XI Has Been Announced, 3 Indians On The List

ICC Awards for the year 2017 have been announced and India has dominated the ICC Awards 2017 by all means. Virat Kohli, the Indian Captain remained the showstopper in the list of the ICC Awards 2017 announced today.

VIRAT KOHLI ALL THE WAY

The Indian Skipper has been named as the Cricketer Of The Year as well as the ODI Cricketer Of The Year for his staggering performances across formats in the year 2017. In 2017 Virat Kohli was just phenomenal as he scored 1460 runs in 26 matches at a staggering average of 76.84.

Rohit Sharma was also nominated for the ODI cricketer of the year but he lost out to his own captain. Rohit has scored 1293 runs in ODIs in 2017 at an average of 71. This includes a stormy double hundred as well.

This is the first time after 2013 that the award for the ODI Cricketer Of The Year has gone to a someone who is not from South Africa. in 2014 and 2015 AB De Villiers won it back to back while in 2016 Quinton De Cock bagged the award.

STEVE SMITH THE BEST IN TEST

The Australian cricketer who has been just sensational in the longest format of the game has been chosen as the ICC Test Cricketer of the year. Steve Smith has smashed 1305 runs from just 11 test matches at a whopping average of 76. You got to say, he deserved it by all means.

CHAHAL GETS AN AWARD TOO

India’s young star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has also been recognized by the ICC for his glorious run of form in the year 2017. Yuzvendra Chahal has won the T20 Performance Of The Year Award for picking 6 wickets for 25 against England at Bangalore.

VIRAT CAPTAIN OF ICC ODI TEAM FOR MEN

The Indian captain has also been named as the captain of the ICC ODI Team For Men, 2017.

The Team Composition Goes Like This

Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Virat Kohli (C), Babar Azam, AB De Villiers, De Cock (Wk), Ben Stokes, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Hasan Ali and Rashid Khan. 
THREE INDIANS IN THE ICC TEST TEAM FOR MEN

Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ravichandran Ashwin have a place each in the ICC Test Team as well and Kohli has been named the captain of this team too.
