Indian Women Cricket Team outplayed West Indies in all three departments of the game, in a group match of the ongoing IC Women’s World Cup 2017. It was a very clinical performance by India as they registered their second most successful chase in ICC Women’s World Cup.

Here are 5 biggest talking points of India’s performance:

1) Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj put a brilliant 108 runs partnership for the third wicket. It is India Women cricket’ team’s fourth highest runs partnership for any wicket in the history of ICC Women’s World Cup history.

2) Indian Women Cricket team’s skipper Mithali Raj missed her 8th consecutive ODI 50+ knock for just 4 runs. In the last match, Mithali became the first batter in women cricket history to score 7 consecutive fifties.

3) India’s star of the match, Smriti Mandhana became the third youngest player to score a century in ICC Women’s World Cup. Mandhana is only 20years and 346 days old. The top two record holder in this are England Women’s Charlotte Edwards (17 years and 364 days) and Australia Women’s Meg Lanning (20 years and 317 days)

4) Smriti Mandhana remained unbeaten on 106 runs. It is the second highest individual score for any Indian Women batsman in the ICC Women’s World Cup history. Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored 107* against England in 2013, holds the record for the highest individual score by an Indian batter in ICC Women’s World Cup.
