ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule: On Tuesday, the ICC finally announced the much-awaited schedule for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. It has to be noted, that this is the first time that India will hold the prestigious ODI World Cup on its own.

Meanwhile, just as was expected, the tournament will kickstart with a clash between the previous edition finalists England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.

The Indian cricket team will get their tournament underway with a game against Australia on October 8, which is scheduled to be held in Chennai. The big game between India and Pakistan will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15th.

The last time India won the World Cup was back in 2011 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Ever since then team India is struggling to get their hands on the prestigious trophy of the ICC. India has reached the final four stages in the next two editions – 2015 and 2019 but has failed to get their hands on the trophy. The Indian cricket team under the guidance of captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will look forward to ending their trophy drought this time.
