India’s fast bowler Ishant Sharma got engaged to Pratima Singh, member of Indian Women’s Basketball Team in a closed personal ceremony in Delhi on Sunday. Pratima comes from Varanasi’s “Basketball Family of India” as four out of the five sisters have either played or are playing for Indian national team. Her sisters Divya, Akanksha & Prashanti have represented Indian Women’s Basketball Team. Prashanti is the current captain of the team. Priyanka, another sister of Pratima is an NIS basketball coach.

Ishant Sharma is one of India’s best fast bowlers in Test cricket. Sharma has been a part of Indian cricket team for a very long time, but he has been in and out of the team due to his poor form and injuries. Ishant last played for new IPL franchise Rising Pune Supergiants, in the recently concluded IPL 2016.
