On Monday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the Holkar Stadium in Indore will host the third match between India and Australia.

BCCI Released An Official Statement About IND vs AUS 3rd Test Venue

As per the latest development, due to the harsh winter conditions in Dharamsala, the outfield lacked grass density. It will take some more time for HPCA Stadium to get fully developed for games. Because of this reason, the venue for the 3rd Test match has been changed.

“The third Test of the Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, originally scheduled to take place at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala from 1st to 5th March has now been moved to Holkar Stadium, Indore. Owing to harsh winter conditions in the region, the outfield lacks sufficient grass density and will need some time to develop fully,” the BCCI statement read.
