Suryakumar Yadav hailed the emerging talent Ravi Bishnoi, who was honored as the Player of the Series. Bishnoi consistently delivered crucial breakthroughs, making an impact with four wickets in his very first over on multiple occasions. In the final T20I in Bengaluru, as Travis Head propelled Australia with a robust start, Yadav introduced Bishnoi, and he secured Head’s wicket for 28 runs, disrupting Australia’s momentum.

In contrast, Axar Patel played another pivotal role in guiding India to victory. With only 160 runs to defend, the Men in Blue required a standout performance at M Chinnaswamy, and that’s precisely what the spinners delivered.

Axar completed his four overs with an economical figure of just 14 runs, contributing significantly to India’s six-run win. Consequently, Suryakumar Yadav expressed his admiration for Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the ball.

Suryakumar stated in a video released by BCCI. He said:

“Axar has won back to back Player of the Match awards, which is a big thing. Ravi Bishnoi has regularly been doing well. The way he came back after his first game and won the Player of the Series award was great. He’s shown his class character,”

In the absence of other senior players, Suryakumar Yadav led India in the five-match T20I series against Australia. He performed well as the Men in Blue secured a 4-1 series victory. Importantly, the team management identified promising players like Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma, who made significant contributions.

Ravi Bishnoi’s impressive performance was also a positive. Consequently, the Mumbai-born cricketer expressed satisfaction with completing the job, particularly as the captain this time.

“Obviously feeling good after winning the series. On top of that as a captain, it feels good. This is a new angle in life. It feels good and the people also supported me as well, the support staff and players,”
