A flabbergasted and ‘paranoid’ Virat Kohli on Monday shared a shocking video of an unpleasant video that he faced during his stay in Perth. Well, Virat suffered from an incident of invasion of privacy as a hotel staff of Crown Towers hotel in Perth leaked a video on social media on his hotel room.
Virat shared the video via his official Instagram account, which showed someone entering Kohli’s hotel room with the cricketer not present in the room and the entire break-in was filmed. In the video, all of Kohli’s accessories and wardrobes were displayed.
Virat Kohli was left visibly upset and shocked over the incident. Sharing the shocking video, Kohli requested the fans to respect the privacy of everyone and not treat them as a “commodity” for entertainment. He wrote:
“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”

Meanwhile, speaking in a press conference ahead of India’s fourth match against Bangladesh, Rahul Dravid talked about the unpleasant incident that took place with Virat Kohli. Dravid said that a hotel room is one place where any cricketer feels secure but the Kohli incident has stunned the team. He said:
“It was disappointing and an unpleasant incident for any cricketer to be in, not just Virat Kohli. Hopefully incidents like this will not be repeated in future. Hotel room is one place where you are meant to feel secure away from media and fans. We have taken it up with the relevant authorities and action has been taken. Kohli is feeling well and already training with the team here in Adelaide,”
