As India and England go head to head once again, we will see India’s top 5 Test run-scorers against the Three Lions in Test cricket since 2011.

Alastair Cook’s England team in 2012 was the last visiting side to win a Test series in India. After that, England have played two Test series in India and lost by 4-0 and 3-1. In this period, India toured England thrice, losing the series twice and drawing it once.

While England are riding on the high of Bazball’s success and hype, India remain the strongest force at home, having won 16 consecutive Test series since losing to England in 2012.

India were a team in transition in 2012; they are a team in transition in 2024. One batsman who has remained constant is Virat Kohli, who has scored more runs for India against England since 2011.

India’s Top 5 Test Run-Scorers against England since 2011:

Virat Kohli – 1991 runs

Ravichandran Ashwin -0 970 runs

R Ashwin’s name might be a surprise here, but the Tamil Nadu off-spinner has piled up some significant scores against England at home. He has 970 runs against England in 19 Tests at an impressive average of 37, which includes six half-centuries and a century in Chennai a couple of years ago.

KL Rahul – 847 runs
