Young Indian bowler Umran Malik has arguably the fastest pacer in Indian cricket right now. He is celebrating his 23rd birthday today. The sensational bowler has been receiving wishes from all corners. From cricketers and experts to fans, everyone took to social media and wished Malik on his special day. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also took to their official social media handle and wished Umran on his 23rd birthday. BCCI wrote:

“Here’s wishing #TeamIndia’s young pace sensation @umran_malik_01 a very happy birthday 🎂👏”

Meanwhile, fans were not happy with the BCCI and soon fans flooded the comments section of their birthday tweet for Umran Malik. Fans are slamming the BCCI left, right, and center for ignoring Umran Malik from the playing XI.

Visa delay denies India 150kmph net bowler Umran Malik ahead ...

Notably, Umran Malik was once again left out of the Indian playing XI for the ongoing third T20I against New Zealand in Napier on Tuesday, November 22. The Hardik Pandya-led side went with only one change for the team, with Harshal Patel replacing Washington Sundar. Umran Malik has now been left on the bench for all three games. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first. Stand-in captain Hardik Pandya said:

“I think the pitch will remain the same for the entire 40 overs, but with the grass on it, there could be some lateral movement for our pacers. We do have the skill set in our bowling line-up. One change, Harshal comes in place of Washington Sundar.”

Young Malik last played for India in July, when they faced England. He has picked up two wickets in three T20Is. He picked up eight wickets in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy for his team Jammu & Kashmir.

it’s time @BCCI give equal opportunity to youngsters for T20 rather than burning talent out on the bench while hoping and waiting for the big names to perform as was the case with the two recent wc n Asia cup selection! While pak played a young afridi @18yrs for the WC 21
