Suryakumar Yadav has continued his stunning form as he cracked a T20I century – his second in T20Is – on Sunday against New Zealand at the Bay Oval. With his glittering strokeplay, carting the Kiwi bowlers all around the park, Suryakumar Yadav lit up the Mount Maunganui.

The 32-year-old gave thumping to the New Zealand bowlers, both pacers and spinners, to play a sensational knock of 111 unbeaten runs off 51 balls. The right-hander smashed 11 fours and 7 sixes in his extraordinary innings as others struggled around him to hit boundaries and time the ball.

Out of the 191 runs India scored, which also included 11 extras, Suryakumar Yadav whacked 111 runs off 51 balls; the rest scored 69 runs off 69 balls. This difference showcases the gap between Suryakumar Yadav and his teammates; the level at which he’s operating is far above the rest.

Harsha Bhogle praises Suryakumar Yadav in a hilarious tweet

Renowned commentator Harsha Suryakumar Yadav in a funny manner, saying that the batter takes his breath away, so he’d need a breathing apparatus!

This is Harsha Bhogle’s tweet hailing Suryakumar Yadav that has gone viral:

“I need a breathing apparatus. Sky is taking our breath away,” Bhogle tweeted.

He entered in to bat at number 3 in the 6th over and got going with a boundary off Ferguson. He was on 11 off 10 balls when he hit his first six, and there was no stopping Suryakumar after that.

SKY knocked off boundaries off both Santner and Sodhi before hitting a six and four to Ferguson. In quick time Suryakumar raced to his fifty off 32 balls; in an even faster lighting speed, he rumbled to a three-figure score, notching up his century in 49 balls.

His assault on the seamers was astonishing: 2 fours and a six to Southee in the 17th over; 2 sixes to Milne in the 18th; and then 4 fours and a six to Ferguson in the 19th.

Suryakumar is the leading run-scorer in T20Is this year with 1151 runs at an average of 47 and a strike rate of 188 – just a sensational blend of the two stats. He had hit a century in England, then bossed the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, and now has a century in New Zealand.
