Just like the tradition of the past many years, India have remained dominant in their home season. After defeating Sri Lanka in the T20I and ODI series, the Men In Blue hammered New Zealand in the ODI, before the two teams face off in the T20I series ahead of India’s Test series against Australia.

Similar to the T20I series against Sri Lanka, a number of senior and multi-format players are rested/are unavailable due to injury, while the fringe players aim to present their cases for a permanent spot (if anything like that exists in Indian cricket now) in the T20I side.

The IND vs NZ T20I series will start on Friday in Ranchi, followed by matches in Lucknow and Ahmedabad on Sunday and Wednesday.

IND vs NZ T20I series Full squads:

India’s T20I squad against New Zealand: Hardik Pandya (C), Suryakumar Yadav (vc), Ishan Kishan (wk), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Shivam Mavi, Prithvi Shaw, Mukesh Kumar.

New Zealand, too, will be without their senior stars Williamson, Southee, and Boult.

New Zealand T20I squad against India: Mitchell Santner (c), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway(wk), Dane Cleaver, Jacob Duffy, Lockie Ferguson, Benjamin Lister, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips(wk), Michael Rippon, Henry Shipley, Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner

IND vs NZ 1st T20I pitch report Ranchi:

Fans can expect a high-scoring encounter in Ranchi due to two major factors: the pitch at the JSCA International Stadium is known to remain flat and the dew here will help the chasing team; both the teams are depleted of some of their best fast bowlers, which will make the batters have a sigh of relief.

Live streaming and broadcast details of India New Zealand 1st T20I:

On television, you can watch the India-New Zealand T20I series on Star Sports 1 in English and Star Sports 3 in Hindi and for mobile users, the Live Streaming will be available on Disney+Hotstar.
