Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman is all set to take over as the head coach of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming tour of New Zealand in the absence of Rahul Dravid, who will be rested for the series against New Zealand and will return home after India’s grueling campaign in the T20 World Cup 2022. Dravid will return home after India’s grueling campaign in the T20 World Cup and resume duties for the Bangladesh series.

Rahul’s support staff members Vikram Rathour, the batting coach, and Paras Mhambrey, the bowling coach, are to have been rested. VVS Laxman will have the former leg spinner Sairaj Bahutule and Hrishikesh Kanitkar as his deputies for the series against New Zealand.

Talking about the Indian squad for the series against New Zealand Umran Malik, India’s fastest bowler, who had played three T20Is in Ireland and England, is back for the New Zealand tour. Check out the full squad of the Indian cricket team for the series against New Zealand.
