India has produced many gem of the cricketers and when we talk about the fast bowlers, Team India is lucky to have the experienced fast bowler Ishant Sharma by their side. Having bowled in excess of 150 km/h on several occasions in international cricket, Ishant Sharma is still considered as one of the fastest cricketers to have played for the Indian cricket team.
Ishant Sharma’s fearless bowling against New Zealand on Day2 of the ongoing first test match met its match with the elegance and brilliance of Kane Williamson’s performance with the bat. Ishant Sharma had suffered a Grade 3 tear on his right ankle while playing for Delhi during the Ranji Trophy.
Ishant Sharma, who made a comeback from an ankle injury went on to take three for 31 in 15 overs despite the effortless performance of Kane Williamson, after another lower-order collapse of team India, where they were bundled up for 165.
New Zealand’s opening batsmen kickstarted the game well for their side. Ishant Sharma dismissed the opener Tom Latham with a delivery drifting on leg-stump, the other opener Tom Blundell (30) too followed him back to the pavilion after getting out by a typical Ishant delivery.
Later, New Zealand’s cricket team was at 166 for 2 when Ishant Sharma showed his brilliance to give India its much-needed breakthrough by dismissing Ross Taylor for 44 runs.
At the end of the day, Ishant Sharma talked about his performance and said: “Actually, the wicket became slow. It had tennis ball bounce at the start but when we bowled, there was no seam movement available,”
He added:
“I was just not holding the ball on-seam as kookaburra goes soft after 40 overs. When the seam really gets soft, you need to come hard and hit the length very hard and bowl cross seam,”
Fans are pouring in praises from all corners for the Indian pacer. Here, in this article, we bring you 10 best Tweets on Ishant Sharma’s brilliant performance against New Zealanders, have a look:

Much needed breakthrough from Ishant on a track that seems to be evening out. India need the quicks to deliver in the 1st innings. Can’t have Ashwin looking most likely to pick up a wicket.

Before the start of the Test, I was a little concerned/sceptical about Ishant’s match-fitness but it’s quite evident why the team didn’t have any doubts. Three key wickets for the big man. #NZvInd

So New Zealand have won all 5 sessions played yet. Sensible, controlled, batting to thwart India’s pace bowlers. Williamson class act as ever. Ishant pick of attck, bowling fuller length. Shami, Bumrah trifle short, reducing threat to batsmen

Only if Ishant had improved his bowling a few years earlier, his Test average would have been below 30 by now. The one IND bowler who has bowled well today. A bit of kick from the surface #NZvINDA

Experience isn’t a commodity that can be bought in any market. Experienced Ishant Sharma is proving it with probing line, length & subtle variations. His Sussex coach Jason Gillespie should be happy.
