IND VS PAK

You may consider yourself very lucky and someone handpicked by god himself if you have somehow got hold of a ticket to the much-awaited IND vs PAK encounter of the World Cup 2023 group stage as you will get to witness the greatest cricket rivalry in the largest cricket stadium (by seating capacity) in the entire world: the enormous 132,000-seater Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Despite the entire, frustration fiasco related to the schedule and the ticketing system organised by the BCCI and BookMyShow, the IND vs PAK game will get to see perhaps a record number of fans in a cricket stadium.

Unless you have a friend or a relative in Ahmedabad, it is quite likely that you will have had paid an exorbitant amount of money for your hotel and flight ticket.

Because the moment the schedule of the World Cup 2023 was released – which initially had the IND vs PAK Match on October 15, Sunday, but it later changed to October 14 due to the Ahmedabad police’s request as they couldn’t provide all security because of Navratri festival starting on Sunday – the hotels and flight in Ahmedabad had upsurged their prices to unprecedented rates.

For example, according to some reports, the same Delhi to Ahmedabad flight that generally costs around INR 3000 was then priced at INR 10000 around the dates of the IND vs PAK match. The hotels got even more expensive than ever. The same hotels that generally charge INR 6000 for two nights increased their rates to INR 40000 and even more.

Shubman Gill all set to take part in IND vs PAK

Shubman Gill has gained a reputation for doing well at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the past couple of years. So it is fitting that he will make his comeback after going through a bout with dengue in Ahmedabad.

On the eve of the match, Rohit Sharma said that Gill is “99 percent” fit for the match, which basically means Gill will open alongside him on Saturday. Gill batted for a couple of hours in the nets on Friday and was seen inspecting the pitch as well.
