Pakistan cricket team, who started the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 with a defeat at the hands of the Indian cricket team, made a solid comeback and reached the finals of a T20 World Cup following a wait of 13 long years. The Babar Azam-led side showed immense character and grit as they defeated New Zealand in the must-win contest in the semi-final round. 

Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan roared back in style in the do-or-die match as the celebrated duo fired in unison in a century stand with each hitting a half-century to set the base for a seven-wicket win. Both the cricketers walked into the ground with all guns blazing and took on the Kiwi bowlers from the word go.

Babar, who was going through a really tough phase as a batter and was seen struggling to score runs in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, smashed a stunning half-century in the crucial knockout fixture. He scored 53 odd 42 balls as he and Mohammad Rizwan gave the team an explosive start. His knock was laced with 7 boundaries. However, he was dismissed after hitting 53 while Rizwan made 57 as Pakistan chased down 153 in 19.1 overs to complete a remarkable turnaround.

Meanwhile, as soon as the Pakistan cricket team chased down the target, social media was already flooded with amazing reactions and memes on the win. Now everyone wants India to qualify for the final against Pakistan – the mother of all rivalries.
