IND vs PAK: Owaisi Dares The BCCI Before The Big Clash

India politician, Asaduddin Owaisi, has made a comment in reply to the statement of BCCI secretary Jay Shah’s announcement that India will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup next year.

Asaduddin Owaisi, who is the President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), has asserted that if India do not want to travel to Pakistan for next year’s continental tournament, then they should also not play the Men In Green in Sunday’s mega-clash in the T20 World Cup 2022 at the MCG.

“Why are you now playing the cricket match with Pakistan tomorrow? Nahi khel na tha. No, we won’t go to Pakistan, but we will play with them in Australia. What will happen if you don’t play with Pakistan? A loss of Rs 2,000 crore? But is it more than what India matters? Leave, don’t play,” Owaisi was quoted as saying by India Today.

Jay Shah has created a big stir among PCB with his latest decision

Earlier this month, Jay Shah, who is also the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), said that he’d made a decision that India will not fly to Pakistan, and instead the ACC will move the Asia Cup 2023 to a neutral venue, most likely which would be the UAE.

The PCB was left furious with Jay Shah’s statement and retaliated by saying that should this action be approved by the ACC, the PCB could even ponder upon pulling the Pakistan team out of the 2023 ODI World Cup which will be hosted by India, and the PCB could leave ACC.

Asaduddin Owaisi further stated that he would want India to win against Pakistan at the MCG, but also lamented the possible trolling and abuses some of the Indian players would get if India loses.

“These people will thump their chest if India wins and if India loses, they will start finding whose fault it was. What’s your problem? This is cricket. You have a problem with our hijab, with our beard, and also with our cricket,” the politician added.
