The 2nd T20I match between India and South Africa turned out to be a virtual treat for the fans as they witnessed some powerful batting performances. After a thrilling batting show by the Indian cricket team, South Africa’s David Miller stole the show with his strokeplay as he notched up a magnificent century and almost won the game for Proteas. However, the visitors fell short of 16 runs as India scripted history by winning a T20I series against South Africa for the first-time ever.

David Miller kept the hopes alive of South Africa but unfortunately, his efforts went in vain as his stunning 106 not out in 47 balls in a 174-run stand with Quinton de Kock was not enough. His stunning knock was laced with 7 sixes and 8 fours that came at a strike rate of 225.53.

En-route to his blistering century, David Miller shattered a big record of MS Dhoni. Yes, you read that right. David Miller surpassed MS Dhoni as he now has the most runs in T20I death overs.

857 – David Miller
856 – MS Dhoni
745 – Shoaib Malik
715 – Najibullah Zadra
677 – Mohammad Nabi
665 – Virat Kohli

Meanwhile, in a video shared by Cricket South Africa, David talked about his performance. Though he was disappointed with the results, but was very happy with the way he batted. He said: “It was very tough, to be honest. I don’t really come around too often but scoring in an innings like that felt very special. Really disappointed as it goes towards a losing cause. Quinny (Quinton de Kock) batted exceptionally well. Struggled up front but he batted all the way through and it was great to have a really good partnership with him,”
