IND vs SA: Fox Cricket Trolled Team India For "Test Demolition" In 1st Test; Indians Hit Back With Gabba Tweets

Australian cricket website Fox Cricket took a cheeky dig at Rohit Sharma’s Team India for their “Test demolition” at the hands of the South African team in Centurion. The Indian fans hit back with tweets and pictures of India’s epic Test series wins in Australia, especially with the Gabba victory.

India suffered a humiliating innings defeat by the Protes at the Supersport Park in Centurion in the first Test. A loss in the first Test of a 2-Test series means that India once again will not be able to register a maiden Test series win in South Africa.

Dean Elgar’s fighting century, and Kagiso Rabada and Nandre Burger’s fiery bowling efforts toppled India to a loss by an innings and 32 runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma admitted that India just ““were not good enough to win” this game”.

Indian fans slam Fox Cricket with Gabba tweets

This margin of defeat for India led to Fox Cricket trolling Team India with an epic title for their match report.

Fox Cricket tweeted: “Hey Siri, show me what a Test demolition looks like”

The positives for India in this loss were the knocks from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, and new ball spells from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. Apart from this, India were outplayed by the hosts.

Captain Rohit Sharma cited that the failure of the bowlers to exploit the best out of the favorable Centurion conditions was the key reason for the loss.

Sharma said: “Having been put into bat, KL batted well to get us that score but then we didn’t exploit the conditions with the ball and then again didn’t show up today with the bat. If we have to win Test matches, we have to come together collectively and we didn’t do that.”
