His partnership with Eoin Morgan kept everyone on the edge of their seats. Eoin Morgan scored 88 runs and smashed 9 fours and 1 six, with the strike rate of 81.48.

The Indian bowlers and fielders failed to limit the cricketers from scoring the runs and lost the match by 8 wickets.

Here, have a look at how the twitterati reacted to the Indian cricket team loosing the match to England :

Jeet beshak hothon par muskurahat laati hai,
Lekin haar hi Zindagi ka ek Naya Sabak sikhlaati hai.
I am sure India would learn a lot from this and turn things around quickly.#ENGvIND

India have not lost the decider in a 3-match ODI series since Lahore 1997 (when Ijaz Ahmed scored 139 not out). #EngvInd

India have experimented with 7 players KL Rahul, Rahane, Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Karthik, Raina for the two middle over slots. Don’t seem to have still settled on both positions.
Feel Krunal and Rayudu might get a look in. Who has been your best pick? #ENGvIND

India were outplayed and have a lot of thinking to do before the World cup. Hope this defeat serves as a blessing in disguise and they are able to arrive at a settled combination. Congratulations to England. #ENGvIND

Good contributions from Shardul and Bhuvi. Given the bowlers something to bowl at. Kuldeep and Chahal’s spell will be the key. I am backing Chahal to do well today #ENGvIND

MS Dhoni of 2010 would have dropped MS Dhoni of 2018. #ENGvIND

A rare series, even though a 3- match one where Kohli does not get a hundred, out to spinners in all 3 innings as well. Looked good in all 3 innings though #ENGvIND

England’s discipline on the field in ODIs has been astonishing. They have gone 9880 deliveries without overstepping, 4257 deliveries without a free-hit and Jos Buttler has kept in 15 consecutive ODIs without conceding a bye (an England record). #EngvInd

The way Indian batsmen played the English spinners was a huge factor both at Lords and today at Headingley. In every defeat, there is an opportunity to learn and I am sure the team will learn from their mistakes. My best wishes to India for the Test series #EngvInd

How often we call to Move on from MS Dhoni & how often we get back to depend on him. The Middle Muddle, continues for #TeamIndia and yet again he is left to build it, but can’t play freely, with the tail to follow. Why are we stubborn not to give MS Number 4 ? #EngvInd.

From now till the next World Cup, India in ODIs play the Asia Cup, WI (Home & Away), NZ Away, Aus & Zim Home. So they have about 25 ODIs to still play Suresh Raina and realise he’s not the man for the job. #EngvInd

Good test for Chahal n Kuldeep, picking wkts when the batsmen r not under pressure to score quickly #ENGvIND

— Deep Dasgupta (@DeepDasgupta7) July 17, 2018

England bowling first. If they go to 7.1 overs without a no-ball, they will have bowled 4000 consecutive deliveries in ODIs without conceding a FREE HIT. #EngvInd

Didn’t think would say this but India getting done for spin, also great captaincy by Morgan to get that legslip in! Raina – perhaps time to move on..?#ENGvIND
