India vs Australia 2017, Third Test, Ranchi: India’s skipper Virat Kohli injured his shoulder one Day 1 of the third Test match in at JSCA stadium in Ranchi. Virat Kohli is one of the best fielders in world cricket and he gives his 100% every time he steps on the field.

During the day’s play, Virat Kohli dived in the outfield to save a boundary and tumbled over the ropes. He was standing at mid-on and he chased an on-drive from Steve Smith all the way to fine leg and dived full length to save the boundary. While he did manage to save the boundary, the Indian captain was seen in pain as he held his right shoulder. Kohli had landed on his shoulder and got injured in the process.

Kohli was in a lot of pain and he didn’t take any chances and walked off the field with the Indian physio in tow. Vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane took charge of leading the team in Kohli’s absence.

Virat Kohli works very hard on his fitness and he is one of the fittest cricketers in world cricket. In his career so far, Kohli has managed to stay injury free and this is one of the major reasons behind his success with the bat. We hope it’s a minor injury and he will get back on the field fully fit very soon.
