India vs Australia, Day 3, Third Test, Ranchi: India’s skipper Virat Kohli injured his shoulder while fielding on Day 1 of the ongoing Test at JSCA stadium in Ranchi. Kohli, in effort to save a boundary, dived full length and landed on his right shoulder. Immediately after that, he was seen holding his shoulder and Team India’s physio came running on the field. Without taking any risk, Kohli immediately walked off the ground and didn’t come back for the rest of the day.
At the end of day’s play the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a statement that the injury isn’t serious and the Indian captain will resume playing soon.
Dear All,
The BCCI medical team confirms that Indian captain Mr. Virat Kohli is presently undergoing treatment to recuperate from a strain in his right shoulder.
Relevant investigations have revealed that there are no serious concerns, which will hamper his speedy recovery from a strain in his right shoulder due to a fall while fielding on Day 1 of the third Paytm Test against Australia in Ranchi.
He will continue to receive treatment, which will assist him to participate in the rest of the match.
Thanks
Gaurav
But, much to the disappointment of Indian cricket fans, Kohli didn’t show up on the field on the second day and Ajinkya Rahane once again led India on a good batting wicket and against two set batsmen.
The latest update that we are getting from our sources Virat Kohli has been advised to take rest for one more day by the doctors. There is nothing serious about his injury but the Indian cricket captain doesn’t want to take risk and there is one more Test match left in the series.
