India vs England 2016: Watch Virat Kohli’s brilliant hundred in first ODI

India’s newly appointed limited-overs captain Virat Kohli didn’t show any nerves in his first match as India’s full-time ODI captain. Kohli, came in to bat at number 3 in the first ODI against England, and scored 27th hundred of his ODI career.

India lost both the openers early and once again the pressure was on Virat Kohli to anchor the chase. When Yuvraj Singh was dismissed by Ben Stokes, India were struggling at 63/4 while chasing England’s 350. Maharashtra’s Ranji Trophy captain Kedar Jadhav joined Virat Kohli in the middle and formed a big partnership for the fifth wicket.

Virat Kohli has scored 10 fifties in his last14 ODI innings, but it was only the first time in 10 matches against England that he had scored more than 50 runs.
