This move was in pipeline for long as the Supreme Court appointed committee, Committee of Administrators is working on the move. The COA is working on a formula to add 200 crores to the present corpus of 180 crores in the present season.

The Committee of Administrators is drafting the hike in salaries of Indian cricketers starting the next season. The Committee is deciding upon the respective percentages to be added to the pay scales of junior and senior cricketers.

Recently the Indian Skipper, Virat Kohli and head coach Ravi Shastri met the committee and raised the issue of pay hikes. Both captain and the coach were of the opinion that the pay hike has been held back for too long now.

Present Scenario

At present 26% of the revenue of the BCCI is divided into 3 parts. 13% of the revenue goes to international cricketers, 10.6 % for domestic cricketers and the remaining goes to junior cricket and women cricket.

New Hikes

Indian Cricketers’ Salary To Be Doubled*. More Details Here.

As per the new hike structure proposed senior cricketers like Virat Kohli will now earn more than 10 crores as compared to 5.5 crore received by him in 2017.

As for the domestic cricketers who received about 12 to 15 Lakhs per year will how receive 30 Lakhs per annum. This is how the salaries are all set to double up once the likely proposal gets the nod. Most likely the proposal will get the nod and the ultra rich Indian cricketers will get even richer.
