Indian Fan Silences Barmy Army With An Extraordinary Response

Recently, The Barmy Army has displeased the Indian cricket fans with a tweet where they talked about how James Anderson in an older avatar will come back to dismiss Virat Kohli Jr.

This tweet gained traction especially after Virat Kohli was removed by Anderson for a Golden Duck in the first innings of the opening Test match of the series. Anderson is England’s most successful fast bowler and has been even more menacing with every passing day.

Barmy Army’s tweet showed a picture of Anderson airbrushed with age and the caption read, “The year is 2050 and a 68-year-old Jimmy Anderson has taken his 1,500th Test Wicket snicking off Virat Kohli Jr first ball.”

However, Indian fans do not really take these tweets easy on themselves. An insult to their skipper, irrespective of the fact that how subtle it may sound doesn’t really go down well.

An Indian fan replied on the tweet, “Cook has an average of 45 in test and he is Legend in England Anderson has 621 test wickets in 163 matches while Kumble just takes 132 matches to get 619 wickets And this Cook fans are trolling King Kohli who has 50+ Average in all Format”.

Despite getting starts, Kohli has failed to strike a big knock in recent times. It has been almost two years since he has managed his last century and that too against an ailing Bangladesh.

Anderson, on the contrary, has shown exemplary command with the ball with every passing day. As it is known to all, the ball moves drastically in England, creating troubles for the batters. With movement written all over the surface, it becomes easier for Jimmy to ride roughshod over the batters.

It is almost similar to Ashwin’s rip-roaring turn in India in the devastatingly turning surfaces that make Axar Patel look better than other virtuosos. However, with all said and done, both Kohli and Anderson are respective legends of the game and have come a long way ever since they started
