Australian All-Rounder James Faulkner has created a stir among the cricket fraternity after he withdrew prematurely from the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) after making some serious allegations against Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The left-arm pacer, who has been a part of PSL’s Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022, in a series of Tweets claimed that the Pakistani Board hasn’t honored his contractual agreements and payments with him.

Therefore, he decided to leave the tournament midway and he won’t be featuring in the last league-stage game of the franchise. James Faulkner even revealed that PCB officials kept him in the dark with continuous lies. Calling PCB’s treatment a ‘disgrace,’ the Australian all-rounder also mentioned that he had been batting for regular international cricket in Pakistan. He wrote:

“I apologise to the Pakistan cricket fans. But unfortunately I’ve had to withdraw from the last 2 matches and leave the @thePSLt20 due to the @TheRealPCB not honouring my contractual agreement/payments. I’ve been here the whole duration and they have continued to lie to me,”

He added: “It hurts to leave as I wanted to help to get international cricket back in Pakistan as there is so much young talent and the fans are amazing. But the treatment I have received has been a disgrace from the @TheRealPCB and @thePSLt20 I’m sure you all understand my position,”

After his controversial statements, James Faulkner was banned from PSL for making ‘accusations’ about the payment

Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with reactions from the fans to it. Fans are trolling the Pakistan Cricket Board badly on Twitter after the fallout with Faulkner.

PSL is Pakistan’s brand and we must not allow anyone to damage the credibility of this league. I hope PCB takes legal action against Faulkner. This isn’t about any franchise, any chairman, any other official, this is about Pakistan and our league.
