Fans across the world are waiting anxiously for the much-awaited inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship final. The two cricketing giants – New Zealand and team India will be locking their horns with each other in a thrilling clash on June 18. The World Test Championship final is scheduled to be held in Southampton.

Meanwhile, a verified Instagram page of New Zealand took a dig at the Indian cricket team. The page identified as “theaccnz” shared a picture featuring the likes of Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson with the caption: “World Test Championship final, Ind vs NZ”.

Though there was nothing wrong with the picture, however, it was the caption that stole all the attention. Sharing the picture, the New Zealand cricket page took a dig at the Indian cricket team by writing:

“Bad news India… you can’t create a dust bowl pitch at Lord’s…”

For the unversed, the dust bowl pitch assists batsmen initially. Initially, when the pitch dries out, batting becomes easier as the moisture vanishes.  In a four or five-day Test match, the pitch starts to crack, then crumble and becomes dusty. The dusty pitch will again assist the bowlers, especially spin bowlers, who can attain a large amount of friction and made the ball spin a long way.

Talking about the post shared by New Zealand via their official Instagram account, the post was liked by three New Zealand cricketers – Trent Boult, Tom Latham, and Tim Southee.
