Shoaib Ali, famously known as ‘Tiger Shoaib’, was being mistreated and harassed by a few Indians at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

A video has emerged on social media, and it’s going viral, in which a couple of men wearing Team India jerseys are causing trouble to Shoaib Ali, who is Bangladesh team’s superfan renowned for traveling around venues and supporting the Bangladesh cricket team.

The video seems of after the IND vs BAN match was concluded at the MCA Stadium, which the hosts won by 7 wickets. The two Indian fans can be seen mercilessly tearing up the tiger mascot, the stuffed toy, that Shoaib Ali had brought with him. They are also calling him names, and then throw back the torn tiger to Shoaib. This act by these two men have been criticised and condemned by Indians on social media.

Meanwhile, India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in Pune to continue their unbeaten streak in the World Cup 2023, having now won 4 out of 4 matches, the same as table-toppers New Zealand.

India will next face New Zealand in an exciting clash on Sunday in Dharamsala. India will be without star all-rounder Hardik Pandya who injured his ankle while bowling against Bangladesh. The BCCI has said that Pandya will miss the New Zealand game, and will fly to the NCA in Bangalore. Hardik is expected to be fit for the England game on October 29 in Lucknow.

Bangladesh has won just 1 match in 4 games. They have also been missing captain Shakib Al Hasan due to injury. They have lost three games in a row and are all but out of the semi-final race.
