Indians Trolled PCB Mercilessly After Marnus Labuschagne’s ‘Dal-Roti’ Photo

Just a day before the second match between Australia and Pakistan, star Aussie batsman Marnus Labuschagne has inadvertently stirred up a meme fest on social media after he uploaded an image of his meal, which was a plain Dal-Roti, a popular lunch in Asia.

While Marnus Labuschagne found the meal delicious, fans on the internet massively trolled the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for providing a simple lunch to the Australian team that is traveling to the country for the first time in 24 years.

Some netizens said that such a dish is served in jail or hostels to provide better than this to the students.

Here are some of the most hilarious reactions slamming the PCB for Marnus Labuschagne’s Dal-Roti lunch:

Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi pitch where the first Test which was drawn was played has been rated below average by match referee Ranjan Madugalle and received a demerit point following the ICC’s Pitch and Outfield Monitoring Process.

Australia’s first Test in Pakistan since 1998 ended in a dull, unattractive draw – only 14 wickets fell across three innings in five days while 1187 runs were scored –  as the hosts rolled out a lifeless, dead, benign pitch with nothing for the seamers and little turn for the spinners.

Australia captain Pat Cummins said that Pakistan made this kind of pitch with no help for the pacers to nullify Australia’s fast bowling trio.

“Turning up to a pitch that’s probably not a traditional pitch you would get here in Rawalpindi, and it’s probably clear they’ve made an effort to try and nullify the pace bowling. I think we all tried different things,” Cummins said.

Vice-captain Steve Smith, who scored 78, gave his verdict too, labelling the surface as “pretty benign” and “dead”.

“It’s pretty benign. There’s not a great deal of pace and bounce in it for the seamers. I think the spinners have offered a little bit. When you hit the right length there’s been a little bit of natural variation and you know, when you get it out a bit wider into the rough I think there’s a little bit there as well. So I thought it would break up a little bit more and probably turn a bit more from the start, but it probably hasn’t done so. But yeah, pretty benign, dead wicket,” Smith said.
