India’s Probable XI For The Fourth ODI Against Sri Lanka

Cricket LoungeBy Cricket Lounge29/08/2017Updated:08/02/2023No Comments3 Mins Read

Now that India has won the ODI series against the Lankans, they might try to tinker around with the squad and give chances to those who haven’t played. Here’s a probable XI that India could play tomorrow against the Sri Lankans:

Rohit Sharma:

When you’re in such good touch, it would be a sin if you were dropped. Rohit Sharma will keep his place in the squad and expecting another special Hitman innings is not a surprise.

Ajinkya Rahane

It is likely that Shikhar Dhawan, who has been India’s best batsman on the tour will be rested and Ajinkya Rahane will be given a chance at the top of the order alongside his Mumbai teammate Rohit Sharma. Rahane was in brilliant touch in the ODI series against West Indies and he would be raring to get in the middle.

Virat Kohli:

The captain will play and will look to tinker with the batting line-up to see where the other batsmen are strong at. He will look to gain another win in the series.

India’s Probable XI For The Fourth ODI Against Sri Lanka

KL Rahul:

Rahul might be in bad form off late but he probably has one last chance to redeem himself in the 4th ODI and will look to make the most of the opportunity.

Kedar Jadhav:

Jadhav might get another chance to shine at the top of the order or might lose out on a place to Manish Pandey in the 4th ODI. Tight call, this.

MS Dhoni:

The great man is going nowhere and Dhoni is riding high on confidence after steering India through two tricky chases in the last two matches.

Hardik Pandya:

The all-rounder who India needs to step up will be floating around the line-up depending on the team’s situation and will look to chip in with wickets too.

Kuldeep Yadav:

Yadav might get a chance to show off his talents after missing out so far on a place in the squad. He was good in the one test that he played.

India’s Probable XI For The Fourth ODI Against Sri Lanka

Yuzvendra Chahal:

The spinner has been in good form off late, picking up wickets in the matches he has played though he is not the first choice. Will look to capitalise and cause headaches to the opposition.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

Bhuvi has been in great touch, with the bat and was not as effective with the ball in the last game. He might be rested in place for Shardul Thakur, or might lead the attack with him.

Shardul Thakur:

Now that the series has been won, Thakur might get a run-in to show what he can provide to the team. He will look to grab the opportunity with both hands.
