The World Cup 2023 is no less than a festival for cricket lovers. With the marquee tournament just around the corner, the excitement has been increasing with every passing day. Amidst all the excitement and buzz about the ICC event, it has been learned that the Mumbai Cricket Association is likely to receive a whopping INR 150 crore from the sale of hospitality boxes at the Wankhede Stadium during the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023.
MCA To Earn INR 150 Crore From World Cup Hospitality Tickets

According to a report by Times Of India, the Mumbai Cricket Association has been receiving some amazing offers for the hospitality boxes at the Wankhede Stadium. MCA received INR 50 crore worth of offers for three hospitality boxes from two companies — DreamSetGo and Cutting Edge. The 10-year deal includes 529 hospitality seats at Level 2 of Vithal Divecha Pavilion. Apart from these two companies, MCA has also received offers from Aditya Birla (INR 12 crore offer) and Essar Group (INR 8.5 crore offer). The TOI quoted a source:
“Two companies-DreamSetGo (a subsidiary of Dream XI) and Cutting edge-have offered around Rs 50 crore for three boxes and 529 hospitality seats area) at Level 2 of the Vithal Divecha Pavilion at the Wankhede Stadium, for a period of 10 years. Aditya Birla has offered Rs 12 crore for two boxes at the stadium, while the Essar Group has made a Rs 8.5 cr offer for one box,”
The report added: “The MCA has already finalised the sale of hospitality boxes at the Wankhede to Reliance Ambani (Rs 30 cr for three boxes) JSW (Jindal) (Rs 15.10 cr for one box), Bajaj (Rs 15 cr for one box) and APCO Infra (Rs 15.10 cr for one box),”
Apparently, the Mumbai Cricket Association had earned a similar amount from the sale of hospitality boxes during the 2011 World Cup as well.

Meanwhile, ODI World Cup 2023 tickets information is out and fans are all excited to book their seats for the upcoming cricket festival. The World Cup 2023 tickets for all the non-India games and non-India warm-up matches will go on sale on August 25th. Fans will have to register their interest via https://www.cricketworldcup.com/register from 15 August.
World Cup 2023 Tickets for India’s warm-up matches will begin on August 30. And the tickets for the main round will be available from August 31st. Tickets for the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan can be booked from September 3.
